Eleventh annual variety show produced and presented by the Washington Baptist Church.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3 at 8 p.m. “GYPSY GRASS”
Frank Vignola, guitar and friendsFrank Vignola launches his newest group in 2007: “Wicked gypsy jazz, front porch jam, and bluegrass all mashed up and reconstructed by some of the nastiest pickers we can find.” Frank Vignola, guitar; Casey Driessen, fiddle; Matt Flinner, mandolin; Rich Zukor, percussion; Vinny Raniolo, rhythm guitar; Gary Mazzaroppi, bass.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10 at 8 p.m. “YOU CAN’T BEAT THE CLASSICS”
Alan Jabbour, fiddle, and Ken Perlman, banjo
The acclaimed fiddle-banjo duo of Alan Jabbour and Ken Perlman returns to the Theatre to present a new lineup of classic Appalachian tunes – with a few from Scotland and the Canadian Maritimes for good measure.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18 at 2 p.m. LIONS CLUB MUSIC CONTEST
The annual music contest organized by the Rappahannock Lions Club for Rappahannock school children.A community event. No admission charge.

An Evening with Ben Jones and Musical Friends

SATURDAY, MARCH 10 at 8 p.m. STATESMEN OF JAZZ
Guitarists Gerry Beaudoin, and Jay Geils, violinist Aaron Weinstein, Chuck Redd on drums, and more from the superb professional musicians who make up the Statesmen of Jazz.

Naoko Takao, piano
Japanese pianist Naoko Takao returns to the Theatre with a solo performance that includes music of Bach, Chopin, Ravel and Robert Gibson. Ms Takao recently completed a series of recitals at Strathmore Hall as part of its “Artist in Residence” program.

SATURDAY, APRIL 7 at 8 p.m BUCKY PIZZARELLI
and an all star group from the Statesmen of Jazz
The Statesmen of Jazz returns to the Theatre with another set of outstanding musicians: Bucky Pizzarelli, guitar; John Bunch, piano; Jay Leonhart, bass; Mickey Roker, drums, Warren Vaché, cornet.

SUNDAY, APRIL 15 at 4 p.m. LAMBERT ORKIS, piano, DAVID HARDY, cellofrom The Kennedy Center Chamber Players
The first of two concerts of the Complete Sonatas and Variations for Piano and Cello by Ludwig van Beethoven. With this inspired music, the early works of which were written to impress King Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia, Beethoven introduced into the world a new musical genre featuring the cello, demonstrated his daring as a composer and his skill as a piano virtuoso.

SATURDAY, MAY 5 at 8 p.m. SMITHSONIAN CHAMBER PLAYERS
Audrey Andrist, piano, James Stern, violin, Kenneth Slowik, violoncello
Antonin Dvorak’s Trio in G Minor, Op. 26 and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, the “Archduke.”

SATURDAY, MAY 12 at 8 p.m. “WINE, WOMEN and SONG in OPERA and OPERETTA”
Jacqueline Neimat, soprano, George Peachey, piano and friends

SATURDAY, MAY 19 at 8 p.m. “TOUR THE WORLD WITH MUSIC”
an evening with the Washington Saxophone Quartet
Reg Jackson, soprano sax, James Steele, alto sax, Rich Kleinfeldt, tenor sax, and Rick Parrell, baritone sax. A concert marking the 30th anniversary of the most widely heard sax quartet ever!
