Six-Pack Gallery show is “Partly Cloudy” for April
Be sure to spend some time among the clouds in the Six-Pack Gallery in April. In conjunction with Chris Stephen’s solo show at The Middle Street Gallery, “Partly Cloudy,” the members of Six-Pack have put together an amazing show in a small space. All pieces take off from the idea of “clouds”. From large installation sculpture to oil paintings and everything in between, the works in this show engage the mind and lift one’s spirits.
The Six-Pack Gallery is the creation of six area artists who were looking for a space to show their experimental work on a regular basis. As Janet Brome puts it, “Often, artists are limited in what they can show, depending upon the space available and the taste of any one gallery owner. With one-person shows, artists can let loose a bit, but those opportunities come and go. This space gives us the freedom to constantly display the work that is our real passion…. the stuff that isn’t always ’safe’.”
The Six-Pack Gallery is located within the Packing Shed Gallery at Gay and Porter Streets in Washington, VA. Hours are Thursday through Sunday, 12:30 to 7 p.m.. Call Ann at 540 987-8416 for more information.
