‘Gourmet Rappahannock’ at The Link in Sperryville
[ June 14, 2008; ] The Rappahannock Wine, Spirits and Food Consortium will host ‘Gourmet Rappahannock,’ a wine and food tasting event featuring products of local wineries and restaurants, to benefit Scrabble School Foundation, at The Link community center in Sperryville. Board of Supervisors hearing on budget
[ June 2, 2008; ] The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors meets in public session at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the county court house in Washington, VA. The evening session will include a public hearing on the county’s proposed budget and property tax increase.

Construction to begin at Panorama in Shenandoah National Park after Memorial Day
Shenandoah National Park Superintendent Chas Cartwright announced the impending removal of buildings in the Panorama area of the park at Thornton’s Gap, near the intersection of Route 211 and Skyline Drive.

Planners quickly approve Amissville couple’s plan for second house
